Lipodissolve | Lipomelt | Injection Lipolysis
Injection lipolysis is a cosmetic procedure in which drug mixtures are injected into patients with the goal of breaking down unwanted fat. The fat is broken down chemically by using a safe and effective method. The fat dissolving injections used are based on phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate (PCDC), evolved from the initial intravenous use of those drug formulations to treat blood disorders. Dr Kahlout at Castleknock Cosmetic Clinic Dublin has joined Network Lipolysis back in 2006.
In 1966, investigators noted that the intravenous infusion of PC-containing solutions could remove fat emboli. Later, a drug formulation called Lipostabil containing 5% PC and 4.75% deoxycholate (DC) was approved in Germany and used in the treatment of fat embolism, dyslipidemia and alcohol-induced liver cirrhosis. The first report of Lipostabil injection for fat removal demonstrated that infra-orbital (“under the eyelid”) fat could be removed by Lipostabil injection. While no placebo-controlled studies have demonstrated the safety or efficacy of this therapy, numerous retrospective studies of Lipostabil injections have reported the efficacy of this practice The mixture is injected directly into the subcutaneous fat through multiple microinjections administered over multiple treatment sessions. The desired end result is the removal of localized fat deposits.
Lipodissolve treatment is the latest weight loss procedure that gets rid of excess fat. It is a non- surgical procedure where a series of chemical injections are given to patients some call it as an alternative to Liposuction. The chemical solution’s main ingredient is phosphatidyclcholine (PPC) a FDA approved chemical produced from soy lecithin. Lecithin has been medically tested and proven to have the capability to break down fat and reduce cholesterol. It is first intended to treat patients with high risk of heart disease.
Lipodissolve is best offered by Castleknock Cosmetic Clinic Dublin to patients who want to get rid of unwanted fatty deposits in the body but doesn’t want to undergo surgery. It is now a widely popular medical procedure to dissolve a specific region of the body where the unwanted fats need to be removed. The procedure is very simple, the chemical solution will be injected to targeted areas and the solution will dissolve and break apart fats and turn it into liquid form that can be flushed out from the body naturally.
To achieved best results patients should undergo a 4-6 injection treatments depending on the target area each session will last up to 20 to 30 minutes. Lipodissolve is only effective in targeting small and localized region of the body that stay unaffected by proper diet and regular exercise. Its result cannot be compared to VASER Lipo and liposuction which can deliver drastic results by removing big amount of fats from the body. Fat dissolving injection is a minimally invasive therapy which is best suited to remove fat from defined areas like the chin, inner thighs and love handles.
Lipodissolve treatment has no long term side effect or life-threatening complications. There are minimal risk or minor side effects like lumps under the skin, bruising and intermittent diarrhea. After a few hours of undergoing treatment it is normal for patients to experience symptoms of dizziness or fainting. It should not be administered to patients with diabetes, vascular complications and to pregnant women. Only licensed and trained doctor should administer this medical procedure.
