In the past five years there has also been a dramatic increase in the number of men seeking cosmetic procedures for everything from body sculpting to face lifts. At Castleknock Cosmetic Clinic Dublin we are pioneers in delivering the best treatment options for our patients straight from the experts.
Despite this growing demand, men contemplating facial surgery are often fearful surgery may result in an “operated look” or – even worse – make them appear more feminine. And certainly men have not been well served by some sections of the cosmetic industry which have tended to take a “one size fits all” approach.
Dr Kahlout (medical director of Castleknock Cosmetic Clinic Dublin) understand men needs and have tailored our procedures to ensure the male masculine aesthetic features are both retained and enhanced.
Innovative procedures to reshape and “masculinise” the male face without surgery.
The world’s most famously handsome leading men such as George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Daniel Craig and Antonio Banderras all share the same defining features:
a low and heavy brow, minor facial lines, a strong square jaw line and prominent chin.
That is why at Castleknock Cosmetic Clinic Dublin we take the approach that men must be treated more deliberately than women to ensure they retain the rugged facial features that define the essence of a good looking man.
It is imperative that all facial cosmetic work with men, surgical or non surgical should ensure the male aesthetic is retained by keeping to the following guiding principles:
Softening facial lines, folds and wrinkles – but not completely removing them.
Restoring lost facial volume – but not exaggerating features.
Working to a facial template that reflects the universal ideal of the handsome male, including the angular lower face shape which typifies male morphology.
Strong Facial Features
Strong, bold facial contours – particularly wider cheek bones and a well defined angular chin and jaw line – are widely regarded as the ideal male facial features.
Facial contouring procedures with the use of carefully chosen dermal fillers and well positioned chin and cheek locations can gracefully change the facial profile and contours, enhancing the overall facial harmony. It can also strengthen your existing features, further masculinising the face.
The dermal fillers used are generally inserted via a soft cannula with no visible external scar. This delivers a very natural looking result, making the patient look more masculine without any tell tale signs of having work done.
Just like any facial cosmetic surgery for men, it is critical they are treated more conservatively than women. The aim is to enhance not feminise.
For eyelid position, we aim to ensure men retain the rugged facial features that define the definitively handsome male. A lower and heavier brow with a slightly lower eyelid crease compared to women.
Most men with excessively low eyebrows can be treated with a brow elevation procedure using long lasting dermal filler or indeed a feather suture lift rather than browlift surgery or botox. The featherlift procedure can be combined with dermal filler through the same incision hidden in the eybrow. In most cases these procedures can be performed as office based procedures under local anaesthesia with little or no downtime.
This procedure delivers very natural looking results, making the patient appear more handsome, younger and refreshed without any tell tale signs of work done.
