J-Plasty Face Lift
Facelifts and facial rejuvenation procedures are among the most popular anti-aging treatments, particularly among middle-aged women who are trying to reverse the effects of aging. Over time, skin loses its natural elasticity as collagen production slows down or even stops altogether. From the age of 30, healthy adults begin to lose on average 1% of our collagen per year. When that happens, you begin to lose firmness in your skin, wrinkles develop, jowls sag, and gaunt can take over your face. The J-Plasty Face Lift is a minimally invasive facelift procedure that can help you restore a naturally youthful appearance, with minimal downtime.
If you’re unhappy with the way your face is looking lately and would like to make a positive change in your life, then undergoing a J-Plasty facelift procedure could be the right choice for you!
J-Plasty Facelift Steps
The procedure involves the marriage of three techniques (VASER ultrasound, Renuvion J-Plasma and the internal support sutures MiniLift) to give as much support and remodelling as possible without having to cut out or remove excess skin. Depending on the your individual needs, after injecting the area with a numbing solution the J-Plasty Face Lift is performed in either two or three methodical steps.
VASER Ultrasound
The VASER device uses focused ultrasound energy to selectively emulsify fat cells while at the same time gently contour the neck, jawline and lower face angles. During the J-Plasty procedure, VASER neck and double chin liposuction is more a selective fat removal technique. With finessing liposuction, we are able to target and remodel the layout of tissue around the lower face. The ultrasonic energy transmitted by the VASER, the subcutaneous tunnelling takes place preparing the area for the next step in the J-Plasty procedure, the J-Plasma by Renuvion. layer contracts around bony prominences, revealing a well sculpted jawline bone and encouraging skin tightening of any residual loose skin.
MiniLift Sutures
Much like any face lift procedure, the aim of the MiniLift is to enhance the appearance of the lower and mid-face areas. It brings about volume the cheekbones adding upwards support and reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles in the mid-face area. The MiniLift places internal sutures to support deep facial layers. The dissolvable sutures are introduced through small 2mm entry points up in the hairline and behind the ears. For some, adding volume through fat transfer or long lasting dermal fillers will further enhance the minimally invasive facial rejuvenation process. A MiniLift can help you achieve that uplifted appearance you want while also eliminating nasolabial and marionette folds, making them that less pronounced.
Renuvion Plasma
The minimally-invasive Renuvion step is powered by helium J-Plasma that produces visible results with little downtime and less scarring. J-Plasma (Renuvion) is administered through the tiny incisions already made in the area (behind the ears and in the hairline). Then, through these same incisions, the Renuvion delivers cold helium plasma energy to the connective tissue and skin under-surface to. Renuvion tightens tissues in real-time, you’ll see results immediately, with noticeably firmer skin. Tighter skin envelops definition created earlier by the VASER and MiniLift. J-Plasma also stimulates collagen which will further enhance results over the next few months.
Suitable J-Plasty Candidates
The J-Plasty Face Lift is a tailor-made process to each persons’ individual presentation. Good candidates for J-Plasty Facelift are both men and women who have mild to moderate sagging of the cheeks, jowls or neck. For those with more advanced signs of aging in their faces, Dr Kahlout will often suggest a formal facelift instead.
Recovery & Aftercare
Patients who undergo a J-Plasty Facelift procedure will experience light bruising and swelling, but this usually fades within a week. Patients receive a compression garment to wear in the initial healing period. Most patients are back to their normal schedules within five to 7 days. Any mild pain or discomfort can be relieved with over-the-counter pain medication. The tiny incisions leave little to no visible scarring and any scars should fade away a few months after the procedure.
