One option for facial volume restoration is readily available dermal filler materials like hyaluronic acid (HA). Hyaluronic acid fillers are manufactured by many companies. In Ireland the most popular are Restylane, Juvéderm and Belotero. Theses are high quality fillers manufactured in European based laboratories. They are biodegradable by the human body into basic sugars.

Another option for facial volume restoration is injecting a collagen enhancing polymer filler like Radiesse, Ellanse or Sculptra. A process of laying new collagen (neocollagenesis) starts as a result of the controlled inflammatory material injected. The filler induce reactive collagen synthesis which helps us to create a gradual tissue volume addition over time. Either type of fillers, HA and neocollagenesis simulators could be used in the process of Softlift available at Castleknock Cosmetic Clinic and injected with little or no pain and also with minimal bruising. Most procedures are performed with a blunt instrument called a cannula. It is a hollow tube that delivers the filler and has a rounded fromt edge. Unlike a needles which is sharp and cuts through the tissue, the cannula causes little trauma.

Facial volume filler restoration is an innovative way to harmonise the face using fillers. These quality filler include Radiesse, Restylane and Juvéderm. We also use collagen enhancers like Ellansé or indeed the patient’s own fat cells. The 8 point Soft lift is non-invasive, quick, and relatively pain free. Results can last for up to 12 months with hyaluronic acid fillers. Collagen stimulators like Ellansé will last for up to four years. Dr Kahlout is a facial volume restoration expert who has restored facial volume with dermal fillers for hundreds of people ever since developing the treatment back in 2008.

Everyone’s’ volume loss is unique. At Castleknock Cosmetic Clinic Dublin, Dr Kahlout first consults with the patient and advises them on the areas that can enhanced. The area to be treated is then mapped to skilfully restore.

While these procedures are safe, it takes experienced hands, eyes and aesthetic judgement to achieve the best outcomes. Results can be expected to last up to a year with HA’s and up to two years with the latter neocollagenesis promoting fillers.
